Today, Alan began his lesson in Hebrews 11 talking about the the “Hall of Faith” as we often refer to it. Individuals from the Bible who did more of what God asked of them than many before or after them. Others are listed in that chapter who were unwilling to give in to Satan but stayed true to God through terrible adversity.

He completes that section by noting how many “heroes” of faith continue to speak to us today, though they are long gone in human form. Men like Stephen, the apostles, and Paul. Nearly all of these passed from this life in harsh ways. But it was something that Christ noted would happen to those who follow God and not the world. If life was all there was, these tests would be too hard. But those who know God, know that something more awaits us all.

God has prepared a city for those who seek him, even if they are no more on the earth. Who are you following?
