God Sees

Roger presented the lessons today, in our “5th Sunday” lesson format where we combine songs and scriptures with a theme for our 1st assembly followed by a short invitation. Then for our 2nd assembly, we do a full lesson on the same theme. Today’s theme was “God Sees”.

If you are like me, you have driven on the freeway plenty of times (hopefully) doing the speed limit only to be passed by cars and trucks doing 10, 20, even 30 miles per hour faster than you are. Then all of a sudden brake lights are on everywhere up ahead and all those law-breaking speeding motorists are nearly stopped doing at or below the posted speed limit. Why? Because they realize the officer sitting in the median who has a radar gun in his or her hand could penalize them for their lawbreaking.

Can you imagine if everyone had a police officer watching them every day? Imagine how law-abiding everyone would be! Well, truth be told we DO have a Law Enforcement Officer watching over us every day and night. It is God, Christ, and the angels they have to watch over us and our actions. This is why a truly good Christian does the right thing all the time. They know that God is always evaluating their actions (or inactions) all through their lives. This is one reason that the world could be a better place if everyone was a Bible-believing New Testament Christian.

The recordings below capture some of our scripture readings, the short invitation, and the lesson later from our time together. Consider listening and maybe you will hear some scripture that reminds you why knowing Who God is and Where He is can be so important?
