Today was our 5th Sunday worship service where we have a mix of scripture readings, songs, prayer, and a short lesson for our first assembly, then a full lesson for our second assembly – both on a common theme.
Today’s theme was on “Worship”, using material that Abe and a friend have been working on together to help us better understand what worship is, how we can do it properly, and the history of this act.
Today’s songs with the first lesson were: O Worship the King; On Zion’s Glorious Summit; We Praise Thee, O God; Take Time to be Holy; Majesty; We Bow Down; I Stand in Awe; We Shall Assemble; Praise Him, Praise Him; Worthy Art Thou; Nothing But the Blood; Hallelujah! What a Savior. The scriptures used today are: Revelation 4:8-11, and 5:6-14; Psalm 99:1-9, 2:1-12, 86:8-17, 29:1-11, 95:1-11, and 96:1-9; and Acts 17:22-29.
