Leading up to our gospel meeting coming up on May 7-10, 2014, Abe’s subject for the lessons today asked a simple question, WHY PREACH?
Good question. Why would we want to preach? Don’t most folks know that the general public is not very receptive to the Bible or the teachings of God? Most don’t even believe others could know about God, or a deity of any sort.
So what about you and me? Do we believe in God? Do we think that He is real? Do we believe that He is the reason for all things that exist? If we don’t, we are wasting our time being “Christians”. In fact, it is a lie we are living. But if we truly believe God is real, and Who He said He is, we have no reason NOT to preach Him to the world!
Don’t let the lies of science cheat you from eternity! Science by definition is a study of the visible, not the invisible. As I’ve stated before, faith in nothing making everything is a greater faith than to believe that an entity planned and made all.
God is invisible, but as is pointed out so well in scripture, His creation is clearly seen. So let’s preach Him to the world!
