Marvin Eads joined us today to share his message entitled, “Who is My Neighbor?” with a focus on Luke 10:25-37. He begins by asking how should we treat our neighbor? Doing things like being helpful in times of need, sharing in their joy or sorrow, caring and being sincere.
Next, he looks at what it means to love our neighbors as ourselves, asking how do we love ourselves? Also asking, what IS love?
In the story about the Good Samaritan, why did the priest and Levite do nothing? Was it fear, a lack of compassion, or were they just too busy?
Marvin wraps his lesson up by suggesting, maybe we stop asking “Who is my neighbor?” and start asking “Who can I be a neighbor to?”.
You can hear and see slides from Marvin’s lessons below.
