Cody filled in for Roger and Abe this past weekend with lessons on “Using Our Talents Wisely” and “The Parable of the Rich Fool”.
God has blessed everyone with a talent, some more, some less, but we all have them. Everyone has a degree of wealth too, and we must all be on guard to avoid letting our wealth blind us or distract us from following God entirely – even if we feel it isn’t much. Anything that detracts us from God is a sin and an idol.
We must all use what God has given us in talents and in wealth for Him. For God Himself tells us the more we use for Him, the more He will give back to us.
What have you given in your abilities or wealth? Size is not important, but giving is. If we are not giving, we are only taking – from God and from our fellow man, or brother/sister.
