As was mentioned in his lesson, Abe touched on one of man’s failings, following the patterns – especially when that involves putting something together! It could be a kid’s swing set or an entertainment center. Whatever it is, we try to do things our way, then realized when the pieces don’t fit together, or we have extra parts, that we messed up. Then back we go to pull out that white packet of papers with “instructions” written on it (in various languages), then we usually have success.
We understand the problems associated with following a pattern in making something, but we so often dismiss the importance of following the pattern or instructions from God on how the church should work. Abe’s lessons today address this subject very well.
