Our normal guest preacher for the first Sunday of the month is no longer able to be with us, as he took a preaching job with a congregation in Kentucky! We are very happy for him!

So Roger Starnes, Jr. worked with Kyle and Jenna on a mix of passages and songs focused on telling the story of Jesus. The songs and the passages were excellent, but Roger was in his 2nd week of not having much of a voice due to a cold he caught while in California visiting his kids and grand kids.

The PowerPoint presentation that Roger put together for the service can be viewed below, but it focused on 5 songs to highlight points of Jesus’ life: Jesus’ Birth using Tell Me the Story of Jesus song, Jesus’ Life using Beautiful Star of Bethlehem, Jesus Miracles using Master, the Tempest is Raging, Jesus’ Teaching using Sowing the Seed of the Kingdom, and finally, Jesus’ Death, using Heaven Came Down and He Paid a Debt.

We encourage you to listen and note the slides in our gallery below. *One note, Roger used a painting to illustrate the frightening scene of the boat Jesus was sleeping on but used one of Peter walking on the water with Christ by accident. So focus on the boat and sea, not the two people in the water! 🙂
