One of the songs we enjoy singing during worship (and during the day) has the words “we’re part of the family, that been born again…”. There is nothing more securing that to have a tightly knit family, this is just as true in the church. In a place where we need to help encourage one another to stay strong and be courageous, the church needs security and protection.

Abe’s lessons below talk about some of the work that Joshua had regarding Israel. Part of the plan was to establish cities of refuge, and to take care of the Levites. Today the church has a City of refuge we look for, and like the work Joshua had, the church works to take care of fellow Christians!
