Roger and Abe split the lessons this past weekend with lessons on where we’ve come, where we are, where we stand, and now the work ahead. Titles are “Ready? Set? Go!”. A great couple lessons for moving forward with the work of the church here at Waynesville, and for ALL Christians. The key to both lessons is the end, “GO!”.
Christians need to be ready to teach, preach, and live a life that God and Christ demand. We need to be able to access what we’ve learned as we talk to others and know/defend how/why we do everything, then we need to USE IT! Sitting idle in a chair talking about being profitable to God is NOT enough. Idleness is sin and it is not growing. Not growing is dying. Churches and Christians will not die if they are working, growing, and making progress in the climb towards heaven. Age is not a cop out. Whatever measure of faith and ability you have, must be used or it will be taken.
