On December 27th, Cody presented a lesson on Philippians, beginning at chapter 4 verse 4, “Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice”.
He then shared some of the backgrounds of the city of Philippi, its fortified location, and its place on our maps. He then discusses the Jewish presence in the city (or lack of) and then gets into the church being established there.
Most of the rest of the lesson focuses on Paul’s 2nd missionary journey between 49-52 AD, what Paul has to teach them, and the importance of the “four-fold Christ”.
