Mediterranean Diet

Reflecting back to when he was a younger person going to Bible study, Kyle shared his love for the maps in the back of his Bible when he had time. Likely something that many of us used to do when we were young (or even now!). One thing that he always noticed was that the Mediterranean Sea was on nearly every Bible map! So at an early age, he was curious about it.

Now that he is a grown man, an educator, a husband, and a father, he noted now the Mediterranean is more often mentioned as a diet than a waterway in conversations. So, Kyle took the subject of the “Mediterranean Diet” and shares that with us today, from a physical and spiritual perspective.

Beginning with what we should hunger and thirst for spiritually, to what we hunger and thirst for physically. He talks about the Mediterranean Diet food pyramid, starting with daily physical activity and eating with family, to bread, fruits, vegetables, olive oil, fish and seafood, to dairy, eggs, cheese, poultry, and yogurt, to meats and sweets.

He spends the rest of the lesson tying these things to passages about the disciples of Jesus and how they lead to us today.
