More is better! Ever heard that before? We see it all around us, and perhaps we are guilty of this mindset too. NEW cars and trucks. NEW clothes. New houses. NEW, NEW NEW!
So is it wrong to have a new car, house, or clothes? Certainly not, but knowing where to draw the line on spending and making money is key to being responsible with what God has given each of us. YES – what GOD has given US.
Sure, we may work hard at our jobs, but our success is through practicing the gifts and talents that God has allowed us to have. Nothing we have is our own, all is God’s. We are just caretakers. God is not pleased with us if our GETTING goes to far. When our focus is our jobs and making money to pay for the things we wanted, we are not being responsible.
It is equally irresponsible to take the money we work for (that we have been given by God) sometimes that we are too focused on, only to squander it on hopes of gaining more. While gambling is accepted more and more in the U.S. it is still sinful behavior. But there may be other things we overlook that are also very close to gambling. Have a listen to the lessons below.
