Broc Begley and his family joined us today and Broc presented lessons on “Making a Difference” and on “Patience”.
The first lesson began by Broc sharing a story about a woman who did some great things for a young person. While those things helped so much early on, the absence of positive things later in that person’s life left a void that was costly.
As humans and Christians, we too have the ability to make a difference in other people’s lives. All of us in fact make an impact in all the lives we touch. Some good, some not so good. We must always be vigilant that we are careful to do all things well, and as Christians, to do things as Christ. Sure, we’ll never measure up, but aiming for the Person He was will be out best outcome.
In addition to trying to make a difference in the lives of others, are we having the right measure of patience in doing those things? We often hear that “patience is a virtue” and it surely is. Even the Bible talks about the wisdom of using patience in all we do. Why? If God and Christ were not patient with us, we would not be here.
