Love is a key word in the bible. Love is so important that the bible says that “God is Love” (1 John 4:16). Love is the bond of perfectness (Colossians 3:14). Paul, as inspired by the Holy Spirit, writes about this important subject in a discussion of spiritual gifts in 1 Corinthians 13. John devotes much of his writings to the subject of love. It cannot be just any kind of love, but love as God demands. Many misunderstand this subject even believing that God loves humans so much that He will save all despite what the bible teaches on the subject.
