Today, Waynesville member, Roger Starnes, shared his lesson on “Living in Tents” that was an expository study on 2 Corinthians 5:1-11. He began by looking at what we know tents to be, and even shared some that we may have never seen in his slides below!
As he read through the passage, he pulled in related content from other books of the Bible, like talking about Abraham dwelling in tents, and what he became as a servant of God from such humble beginnings. He talks about what we “groan” about and passages that support that. Then he shows what the Byzantine Shops and the Bath/Gymnasium Complex in Sardis (Lydia), Turkey look like today!
As the passage wraps up, Roger shares more related passages that talk of the end of our lives, what the God-fearing Christian has to look forward to, and what those who don’t know God have to face. He finishes with a piece of playground equipment that makes a pretty strong point.
We hope you like this lesson and will share it with others. Have questions or comments, reach out to us from our site or on Facebook. Or drop by to see us! A recording and slides from Roger’s lesson are below.
