How Serious is God?

volcano-wallpaper Are you like the hundreds of people who think that God will be happy with you, or your family members, no matter what you do in life? Or are you more realistic than that, and you understand God will hold you accountable, but maybe you still expect Him to have a ‘buffer zone’ of tolerance?

Scripture is clear, God has mercy and love in abundance, but he also has rules, law, and expectations. If that did not exist, why would Christ have ever needed to leave His home with God to sacrifice Himself first as a man, secondly as a sacrifice? There is NO reason for God’s Son if God has a sliding scale of forgiveness than He can meet out on sinful humans based on their actions.
