Roger and Abe tag-teamed on the lessons today. As much of the secular and religious world celebrate today as Easter, the lessons today focus on what we put extra attention on with regard to days, seasons, or special times. Many holidays on our calendars have a religious history or current connection that we sometimes focus on. Are these days part of New Testament teaching or example for a Christian to observe? Are these days a product of the doctrine of a religion? What is our individual or personal focus on these days? Often the focus is on individuals or on the celebration itself, and the true need for recognizing God or Christ is slighted.
The first lesson is focused on religious holidays and how many there are. Following up with Roger’s “Holy Days” lesson, Abe spun his lesson on “Holy Praise” (rhyming titles) focusing on how we praise God in our worship and in how we live our lives.
