There is a great benefit to a congregation where many of the members are reading through the Bible on a regular basis. This past Sunday Abe did a lesson from the prophet of Gad named Haggai. A few of us happened to be reading through that book recently and all were impressed by some of the context of this prophet for God’s people both then and now.
Main message: It’s time to build!
Abe spent a good bit of time looking back to the historical picture of the time of Haggai, and who his contemporaries were. I won’t spoil it, but you’ll hear in the lessons below about the time of Haggai’s writings.
He certainly had important things to share and we often overlook these “minor” prophets. This is something we ought not do, as “minor” only refers to the length of the books, not the status or relevance of these men.
