God vs. Pop Culture & Growth in the Lord’s Church

Abe was out of town for a gospel meeting, so our normal 3rd Sunday tandem lessons were done by Roger and Cody.

Roger’s lesson was titled “God vs. Pop Culture” and talked about what so many pop songs today like to portray is the way to meet, fall in love, and maintain a relationship by the world’s standards. Be it country, rock, hip-hop, whatever, the songs on the radio tell a much more different story for a good relationship than what we find in the Bible.

Cody’s lesson started with a photo of our new church building going up in Corwin, and segued into what true church growth is. It is not the size of a building, or how many members we have, but the goal is that more non-believers are being added to the church.

Recordings of both lessons are below, and further down you can follow along with the MP3s by using the slideshows for each lesson.
