Clarifying Righteousness

Today in his lesson, Clarifying Righteousness, Roger begins by noting that the Bible is very clear that “righteousness” is not easily found among mankind. The lesson shows us that those who do well can still fail in sin, and those who sin can do well by forgiveness.

The goal of the lesson is to show how righteousness is obtained and through Whom that is possible. Being “righteous” is being “right” with God. So what does that take? Blindness and ignorance? Or does it take work and diligent study?

Many passages from the Apostle Paul show us that pleasing God is more than just something we receive if we are fortunate. We obtain this special position first through grace, mercy, and forgiveness but then we are challenged to avoid sin and follow the path towards heaven.

Please take the time to listen to the lesson recorded below, and follow along with the image gallery of the slides from Roger’s PowerPoint slideshow. If you have questions or comments, we encourage you to reach out to us! Thanks!
