Bitter and Sweet

Roger’s lessons for toady were titled “Bitter and Sweet”. The lessons begin with an act of God as the children of Israel are leaving Egypt and complain about a lack of water. The method God chooses to have Moses make the bitter water sweet segues into the lessons.

The first lesson is focused on the “Bitter”. It notes the problems associated with bitterness and grudges, and shares passages of why holding such positions is unhealthy. The second lesson is on the “Sweet” but mostly focuses on selfishness and the problems associated with it.

Both lessons are intended to show us that there are other aspects of our lives that are often overlooked with regard to issues in our lives, or how our own behavior affects others.

Recordings of both lessons and slides from each are below. Please listen, study, share, or ask questions.
