Broc Begley was with us today and presented two lessons that certainly work into how we all try to think. How CAN all of us be better people? The physical lives we lead are one challenge for us to be the best person we can be, but trying to be the best spiritually is even more of a challenge.
These lessons touch on some ways that God, Christ and those who wrote down books and letters in God’s word suggest are some of the ways we can all successfully accomplish this. The following passages are two that Broc starts with…
- Luke 9:23-26 – “Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father’s, and of the holy angels.”
- Genesis 5:22-24 – “After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters. So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.”
