Kyle’s first lesson talked about the role of the priests of the Old Testament: what they did, how they dressed, how they behaved, who they were (what tribe they were from), how they served God and Israel. He also talked about the tabernacle and what it looked like and was transported and set-up.
His second lesson segued from talking about priests, to showing how today WE are priest as Christians and how that could be. Many today have orders of religious leaders in the government of their churches. From popes, to bishops, to pastors, and on and on. But what does the Bible discuss? There are just 5 in the church hierarchy: God, Christ, Elder, Deacon, and church. Although, elders (aka bishop) and deacons are part of the church and the church includes these men. All structure outside this chain is not found in scripture.
