Abe presented a great lesson on a man with significant tenacity, focus, and dedication this past Sunday. Nehemiah was one who was focused on accomplishing good for the Lord God and not sitting aside waiting for another to take initiative.
While many of the displaced Israelites failed to return to Jerusalem after they were taken into captivity, Nehemiah left the ‘comforts of home’ for the land of his fathers, and more importantly, the land given to his people by GOD! His leadership, courage, and uncompromising focus on rebuilding the the temple is forever captured for us in the verses of the book bearing his name. God has recorded for us some of the best examples of faith, and Nehemiah certainly qualifies! [notes below]
