West Carrollton, Ohio preacher and teacher, Mike Grushon joins us today to share his lesson entitled, “What Does the Bible Tell Us About Itself?”

He begins in showing that scripture claims to be the Word of God. He shows that the Apostle Paul declares from 1 Corinthians chapter 2 that he is speaking the Word of God, that it came to him by revelation, that the Spirit of God is the source, and he describes the process of this revelation.

He goes on to show that scripture teaches us that inspired men wrote down God’s Word so that we can keep it. God wants His word to be understood so we can know what to do with it. He also points out that God did not send prophets and His own Son to the world to be confused by His message.

Why did God do this? So that we, God’s own creation could be redeemed to be saved by God through His Son Jesus. Did God just do a little for this? NO! He provided 66 books in the canon of the Bible to show us how to live righteously and not sinfully and the penalty and reward for both. So it is up to us to know how to treat God’s Word.
