The Trying of Our Faith

Marvin Eads joins us again today and shares a lesson entitled, “The Trying of Our Faith”. In the introduction of his lesson, he points out something very important for us to remember, we learn little from life when things are going well for us. It is the trials and mistakes that really teach us, even if they are hard.

He goes on to talk about how trials are tests and we either pass or fail. But thankfully, our trials are not long most of the time. He also notes that trials purify us. God tests our faith to see if it is real (for us mostly).

He then turns to look at Saul and the wrong direction he was going and that Jonah chose the wrong way too. Odd as it may seem, trials bring us closer to Christ. We MUST be closer to Christ to overcome. Otherwise we’ll be consumed.

You can hear Marvin’s lesson below and see his PowerPoint slides in our gallery. Please ask us questions or share your comments below, on our site, on our Facebook page, or by reaching out to us.
