Waynesville member, Kyle Jones shared his lesson today entitled, “Five Smooth Stones” about the battle between David and Goliath. He began with who Goliath was and how his name has become a name for big problems that we face. He also notes some “Goliath” animals in nature and shows us.

Then he tells us the story from 1 Samuel 17 about the battle between these two men and what resulted. How could David possibly beat a man of war from his youth who was nearly 9 fee tall? What did David use to kill this giant? How could he possibly use what he did so well?

The lesson then transitions to other stories of God using nature and His Own Hand to intervene in contests for those who love and serve Him. But Kyle reminds us that we need one another to remain strong. But there is only one way to get into God’s Kingdom…
